The benefits of regular physical activity with enjoyable social interaction are well known, but Ceilidh Craic is seting out to quantify this. As a first step people at nearly 100 ceilidh fitness classes were asked to record their personal 'wellbeing' score before and after each class.  Scores were allowed to range from 0 (totally unhappy) to 10  (could not get better), but no further guidance was given.   A  compilation of results from before and after classes is shown below.

If you would like to learn more about this, the Folk Educators Network (folkeducators@edfss.org) of the English Folk Dance and Song Society (EFDSS) asked me to do a Zoom presentation about it. The presentation covered the background to the study, what happened, a bit more about the results and a look forward to the future.
